About the installation: Praxinoscope is an interactive light installation made out of doorframes to mimic a tunnel. The frames are placed in a closed loop with a variating spacing between the frames. When one walks through a frame a sensor will activate the light for a few seconds before turning off again. The name praxinoscope refers to a toy which is used to animate images. Like the praxinoscope our installation has the ability to show movement. This movement is found when one stands in the middle of the installation and observe the people moving within it.
