HTTPStroke is a wireless headband equipped with heating elements enabling the user to feel the otherwise insensible dimension of modern technology, electro magnetic fields. The function of this apparatus is to detect signals ranging from bluetooth to WLAN/WIFI, and to render them physically perceptible to the user through heat, the apparatus heats up proportionally to the strength of the detected signals. HTTPStroke uses the medium heat, which is somaesthetically understood as danger, to effect the user painfully, yet playfully to create a new sensual experience, and to change how one moves, and travels through their urban environment.
