Examining the notion of experience design as it pertains to urban revitalisation, Space in Progress outlines a strategic framework for tackling the matter in a wholistic manner, with regards to the forgotten area of Nørresundby, just West of Nørresundby Torv; as it culminates in the design of the work The Swan. Functioning both as an explorative art installation, which raises awareness and discussion about the concept of “Danishness”, The Swan also acts as a part of this larger strategy, designed as an intervention for an unused back alley / courtyard in the district, attempting to incentivise urban exploration within the area through the offering of integral experiences.
