“Man Made” is an installation made of coloured plexiglas birds hanging from a frame in the ceiling. Standing in front of the installation two pinspots are the start of the interactivity of it. People are encouraged to pick them up and lighten the birds. This creates a playful picture on the white canvas in front of the audience. The birds are the symbol of harmony and freedom but the projection shows the contrast – the bomb which is man-made destroying object, symbolizing self-destruction. The black painted lines on the birds help to see the face and the bomb much more precisely. What is more, people can play around and explore different shapes and forms of the projection.

We desired to make our installation aesthetically pleasant for the eye playing with playfulness and exploration while establishing communication among people and the installation. We wanted to create an installation, where the user would be an active participant.
